ART THERAPY - INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
DANCE/MOVEMENT THERAPY - INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
The following programs are open to children with special needs. Although the instructor is not a dance/movement therapist, she has training in dance and experience working with children with special needs.
Creative Dance: International Styles
Mondays, 6:00pm - 7:00pm
(for elementary students, as well as special needs students)
(session begins 9/27)
“Creative Dance: International Styles” is open for elementary age students, and is designed for students of all abilities or experience. No previous experience necessary. Students with special needs are encouraged to enroll in this fun course!
Each week, we will explore a different form of dance, gaining an introduction to different styles, cultures, and terminology. Examples of dance forms we will be learning: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Salsa & other Latin dances, Irish, Chinese Opera Dance, and Belly Dance, to name a few.

BALLET LESSONS OFFERED:
The Center on Central also offers beginner ballet lessons for all ages. Students will learn basic ballet positions; basic ballet steps and combinations; posture, poise, and expression; as well as a small routine that puts together the building blocks of ballet. Students will receive hand-outs to supplement the material covered in class.

YOGA FOR KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

YOUR CHILD’S BIRTHDAY PARTY:
Birthday Parties at The Center on Central are sure to be a hit with your child and their friends!
Choose from among the following activities:
• Drawing
• Music
• Pottery (pre-made pottery available for glazing activity, to be fired and picked up at a later date)
• Yoga
Cost is $225 for up to 10 children. A $50 materials fee applies for Pottery.
We set up the room, supply paper goods, drinks (juice boxes or water), balloons and clean up. We will provide one instructor and one assistant for an hour of instruction in the selected activity.
You supply food and cake. We can connect you with local vendors if you’d like.
Within the activity, you select a theme. Some examples include:
