Tabatha Trolli
Tabatha Trolli was born and raised in Southeastern Pennsylvania; Tabatha spent her early childhood in Philadelphia and then moved to Morgantown with her family during grade school years. Tabatha’s art is influenced by all things found in nature, in large part from growing up in this environment of scenic and functional farmland.
After graduating from Twin Valley High School, Tabatha attended two years at Kutztown University, studying illustration and painting, then moved back to Philadelphia in 2003 to attend school at Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography. Upon graduation from Antonelli, Tabatha began work as a photographer at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In 2008, after beginning a weekly pottery class at a local art center, Tabatha found a place to call home. Making work on the potter’s wheel became natural. Tabatha’s passion for ceramics soon blossomed, and in 2009 she decided to finish her Bachelors degree as well as earning a teaching certification from the Tyler School of Art. During this time at Tyler, Tabatha has been perfecting her technique and exploring form and surface through the craft of functional pottery. The inspiration from nature is still present and essential to the work.
Tabatha is enjoying sharing her appreciation of pottery and teaching ceramics at The Center on Central.
