Lauren Acton has taught courses in Art and in Fashion Design at various local venues for over 10 years, and is elated to bring her Fashion Design class to The Center on Central! A longtime area resident, Lauren has completed coursework at Ithaca College (BS in Communications), at the Fashion Institute of Technology, at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley College (MFA in painting).

Create your own presentation boards just like a New York Fashion studio!

Our instructor, Lauren Acton, has 8 years of experience in New York City’s garment district and will teach you how to design a collection – complete with fabric swatches and small croquis.

No previous drawing experience necessary, because we work from a croquis (which is a small paper doll)

Bring your great ideas for fashion and we will work through them in this 6-week class!

Recommended for grades 6-12. Class runs March 3 – April 14 (no class April 7).
