On May 28, 2010, the “Theater and Community” class of 1st-8th graders from The Center on Central presented a completely unique, original performance at the Royer-Greaves School for Blind, in Paoli, PA. The performers of “Complications Under the Sea Lead to Teamwork” created a sensory experience for the audience—namely through sound and touch.
This interactive performance utilized music, rhythms, special sound effects, one-of-a-kind characters, and allowed for the audience to join in on the journey through the show by actually getting to hold the multi-textured props of the characters, to literally feel what the actors are feeling. The acting troupe also received audience participation through call-and-response and through creating rhythms and music!
The performance was a unique and powerful experience for all involved - and we look forward to another opportunity to perform in the future.
On Sunday, April 25, 2010, The Center on Central participated in Malvern Blooms. Thanks to everyone who braved the cool, damp weather to visit us in Burke Park.
