Staffers from the creative arts therapy team at The Center on Central traveled up to Camp Hope for Kids in Schwenksville, PA on May 11, 2013 and provided pottery and songwriting activities at a weekend camp run by our colleagues at Valley Forge Educational Services.
The Center on Central provided a kid-friendly activity table at the March of Dimes March for Babies walk in West Chester's Marshall Square Park on April 28, 2013.
Some kids played the drums, shakers and all sorts of fun musical instruments for after the walk was completed, while others drew a giraffe inspired by our Young Rembrandts® drawing program.
In addition to our acclaimed Creative Arts Summer Day Camp and our CAMP 24 Creative Arts and Social Skills Summer Day Camp, The Center on Central is launching Specialty Camps this summer - in Pottery and in Watercolor.
Each is available as a stand-alone camp...or can be combined with our other camps at a cost savings to you.

The Center on Central painted bunny noses and whiskers for FREE for some very chilly bunnies (or were they penguins?!?) on a snowy March 16. 2013 at East Goshen Park – during an Easter egg hunt sponsored by For Sale, Trade or Free in Chester County.

Leanne Miller Rush, CHHC described muscle testing and how we can ask our body what it needs with simple directions.
Laura Ducceschi brought her amazing photographs of nature, which make unique holiday gifts.
Robyn McNally Frantz brought her many products from Arbonne. Did you know many make ups have gluten in them! Arbonne is also carbon-neutral as they pack their products.
Katie Opher led us in an improvisational drumming group to honor the earth and the full moon.
Sarah Murphy led us in a guided meditation to connect with our inner compass as we enter this time of busy-ness in the holidays.
We had a lovely evening and are thrilled that The Center on Central can serve as a place for creativity of all kinds to be expressed.
We wish you health through this holiday season and always!
The Center on Central was named “Best of Philly” by Philadelphia Magazine in the August 2012 issue, under the category of “Best Kids Classes – Suburbs.”
We are grateful.
We are humbled.
We wonder who nominated us (thank you!).
But we also want to say that we think our classes for adults are pretty good, too!
The Center on Central celebrated its THIRD Birthday on June 13, 2012
The Center’s own instructors offered FREE demos in painting, pottery, lampworking (making glass beads), My Smart Hands and circus yoga.
This year’s summer campers silk-screened their camp T-shirts too!
The Center on Central’s vendor-partners helped out as well. We created mosaic tiles for the new garden (installed by and maintained for the benefit of the Chester County Food Bank). Redhound Grille provided free samples from their restaurant. And of course, what birthday party would be complete without cake – or in this case, cupcakes?!?
The Center on Central distributed 150 FREE specially-themed cupcakes by Dia Doce, a recent winner on Food Network’s ‘Cupcake Wars’ show, and who brought their cupcake van to The Center on Central to help us celebrate.
Complimentary parking for this event was provided by Station Square, at the intersection of West Central Avenue and North Valley Road, a short walk to The Center.
Unlike most 3 year-olds, we are very happy to share! We are grateful to have shared this happy occasion with those who have been there with us from the beginning, as well as the friends we’ve made in the community more recently. We are very thankful for everyone’s support!
